Savvy Twinkle (Not yet available)

Savvy Twinkle is a very attractive 15.3hh former Hong Kong racehorse who will soon arrive with us to begin the next chapter of his life beyond racing.

His racing trainer describes him as having a quiet, calm temperament and being easy and very good to ride, with no abnormal or aggressive behaviours observed. During his time at Beas River, he was also reported to be good to handle both in the stable and around the yard.

He has already begun some basic retraining and has made a positive impression. He is described as a nice type with good balance and rhythm through his paces, working in a consistent frame and giving his rider a lovely feeling in the contact.

Savvy Twinkle can be a little cold-backed when first ridden and benefits from around five minutes on the lunge before his rider gets on. Once warmed up, he works well and is also reported to be well behaved when hacking out.

He was selected for export as a horse who would benefit from more time to develop and, importantly, greater access to turnout and free movement.

Savvy Twinkle will now be given time to settle into life at Spiteri Retraining while we get to know him and continue his education.

He is not currently available, but in time will be looking for a suitable long-term home on a permanent homing agreement. Further updates will be shared as his retraining progresses.
