We bought Juney from Sophie in February 2023 after she had just one race and was very lightly produced. She was sold exactly as described — straightforward, genuine, and an unspoilt blank canvas with plenty of raw ability. From that point, I have produced her myself, and we’ve learned nearly everything together, building her education step by step. Her willingness, temperament, and natural talent have made that process a real pleasure. Constantly complimented on her happy expression and friendly personality too, she is a genuine pleasure to own.

I went to Sophie with a long list of things I was looking for in a horse (poor Sophie!!). I actually did a couple of viewings of the same horse and Sophie was more than accommodating, she honestly just wants the best for her horses and to make sure horse and rider are compatible.
I can honestly say she has matched me with my dream horse!! Our Surprise (Owen) is just THE best and is exactly what I was looking for.

Miss Ghillie bought from Sophie in August 2025, was lucky to see her sj at a local show and could see how true her advert was, sophie was super helpful and is still available for Ghillie or myself if needed, we don't, the mare is a saint and all the "new" disciplines we've done shes taken too like a pro. - Nadine Crouch
I bought Muse Of Fire from Sophie unseen in December 2023, stable name Mouse I can honestly say he’s everything I wanted and more! Sophie went out of her way to make sure I could have him and that he got delivered before Christmas. Sophie knows my sort of horse now and I’d buy from her again and again if she said she had something in that would suit me.
I even bought a second horse unseen from Sophie in 2024 for my mum and he was called Aratus (Arty) , again what a lovely horse and everything that Sophie said he was . On top of this Sophie likes to make sure that you are suitable to have the horses she is selling to make sure they don’t land in the wrong hands .Thanks to Sophie I now have two lovely beautiful boys filling my stables and I recommend her highly for anyone looking for an ex racer! -Holly Bevan

I bought Parker’s Piece from Sophie in August 2025. He is as Sophie had described, he has actually exceeded his description, so calm in temperament and I am so grateful Sophie trusted me and sold him to me because he is an amazing little guy. Despite being 6 hours away the viewing, vetting and transport process was easy and Sophie was helpful over the phone after I bought Parker home too if I had questions. I would recommend buying an ex racehorse through Sophie as she has their best interest in mind and is very knowledgeable. -Ayse Jane

Lotus Pond arrived with me September 2020 delivered by Sophie in between Covid lock downs. My first former racehorse, most definitely not my last.
Roll forward to June 2024 and my 2nd former racehorse, Ebony Gale. I collected him from Sophie, while also staying at her yard with Lotus for a clinic and a beach ride, all facilitated by Sophie!
There have been a few requests for advice over the years, and Sophie has always been there for me.

I was fairly cautious about buying another horse but Sophie was great in ensuring we were a perfect match. He is an absolute gentleman and sweetheart and is enjoying his new career as a riding club horse.

I bought Bella Cavalla (Bella) from Sophie in September 2025. Sophie was so lovely to talk to and answered any questions I had and we arranged a date to go view Bella. I instantly liked Sophie and the girls on her yard and I knew as soon as I got in the saddle that Bella was perfect for me and was pleased when Sophie was happy for me to buy her. Bella hadn't been with Sophie long so kindly kept her a little longer so she could 'test" her in different scenarios and sent me regular updates. I rehomed the beautiful Man Of Plenty through yourself , the best decision I ever made he was my best friend and my heart horse and my reason to get up and go everyday after my cancer diagnosis. Sadly last year we lost him to an unfortunate twisted gut which we believe seeped into his blood stream causing sepsis. Photo of Chance my luck 2025 , Sophie Spiteri accepted him into her yard as an unknown unraced 4yr old who arrived at her yard exceptionally thin and unkempt in November 2023, with careful nursing from Sophie and Ros Luff he came to us in October 2024. I bought Felix Felicis unseen from Sophie Spiteri in Sep 25. Having had ex racehorses for 20 years I had some very specific requirements for my next horse and Sophie was endlessly helpful answering all my questions and sending videos and x rays. I felt confident from the start that I could trust her and I am over the moon with Felix, he's exactly as described and I feel so lucky to have him. I bought Scratch (Scratch Card) from Sophie in July 2023 after watching her FB page for some time and admiring her steady stream of fabulous horses. I was looking for an ex racer that had a good brain and a kind personality who would be quiet around kids and dogs - Scratch ticks those boxes and then some! He's super gentle but with enough personality to keep me on my toes - he's such a fun boy to own and I feel lucky to have found him. Optical Girl. Labelled as dangerous she has turned out to be far from that. Now living her best life hunting and living at the kennels as well as throwing her hand to a bit of dressage and more importantly team chasing!! She's class. Can't wait to see what 2026 brings. Buying off Sophie was so easy and I was so lucky to be able to test drive Darcy at several places prior to buying. I brought Benz from Sophie on the 1st November 2025.
Having made the decision to purchase an ex racer - and after speaking to the folks at ROR HQ - who pointed me in Sophie’s direction as someone they advocated regarding re training.
Now I am 57 - and was not looking for something that was too spicy - something that I Can take eventing. And work my way up the dressage levels - do a bit of re enactment on and basically get old together.
The little fella caught my eye on one of Sophie’s posts - so I gave her a shout and after a long conversation around the sort of new companion i was looking for, we made a date to meet up.
We headed up with the lorry with the intention of bringing him home. - and that is exactly just what we did. I took Benz for a few laps round the school - and wasn’t worried about jumping - having seen Benz jump on Sophie’s posts.
Sophie is amazing, so patient and understanding - I LOVE that she takes the horses out and about to the beach, hunting etc so that they experience different things.
Benz has become something of a hit at work, appearing in several training videos around how to creature power points etc . (Happy to supply evidence !!!) and is a massive hit at that yard - such a gentle soul and everything that Sophie said that he was. He is quick to learn and so willing to please.
We have been out and about doing some clinics and have lots of adventures planned and thanks to Sophie I have found my horsey companion to get old with. -Jo Hyland
