A stunning 17hh, 6-year-old mare by Okavango, Ruby is the definition of a quality mare. Beautifully put together with three balanced paces and a kind, genuine temperament, she has all the ingredients to make a superb Riding Club, RoR, dressage, showing or event horse.

Ruby retires from racing through absolutely no fault of her own. She never made it to the racecourse, is completely injury-free, has no vices or soundness issues, and is ready to begin the next chapter of her life.

She has been produced quietly and correctly, proving to be a kind, uncomplicated mare who simply wants to please. She has already established a lovely foundation on the flat, happily striking off on the correct lead on both reins, working in a soft outline and showing the quality of movement that will undoubtedly catch the judge's eye in the show ring. Straight and correct, she has all the presence to excel in a variety of disciplines.

Ruby is sensible and level-headed, taking life in her stride. She has been ridden by both teenagers and adults and has proved to be genuine, straightforward and unfazed by most situations. On the ground she is a complete sweetheart—easy to catch, groom, tack up and handle, making her a pleasure to have around the yard.

She has started hacking both alone and in company. While she hasn't done a huge amount, everything she has seen so far has been taken in her stride, including farm machinery, livestock and the everyday sights and sounds of country life.

Having been in training, Ruby is eligible for the majority of (RoR) clinics, camps and competitions, making her an exciting prospect for someone looking to enjoy everything the RoR community has to offer.

Ruby would make a fantastic family horse or competition prospect for someone wanting a quality young mare to produce further. She is a genuine, straightforward and kind horse with a lovely future ahead of her.
