We're excited to welcome Dinny to Spiteri Retraining.

This lovely 5-year-old mare has recently arrived from Ireland to begin the next stage of her journey. By Blue Bresil and out of a Kayf Tara mare, Dinny has all the breeding to make a smart and versatile riding horse for the future.

Like many horses who come through our gates, Dinny's racing career was brief. She ran in two point-to-point races as a four-year-old before connections decided that racing wasn't the right career for her. Thankfully, she has retired early and now has the opportunity to enjoy a second career away from the racecourse.

So far, Dinny has made a fantastic first impression. She is a sweet, friendly mare who has settled into yard life well and is proving to be easy to handle and a pleasure to work around. We've recently had our first ride on her, and she approached everything with a willing attitude and a sensible outlook.

Having enjoyed some downtime since leaving training, Dinny is now beginning her retraining programme. Over the coming weeks we'll focus on building her fitness, strengthening her body and introducing her to the foundations she'll need for life as a riding horse.

She is an attractive young mare with plenty of potential and offers someone the chance to shape and develop a horse to suit their own ambitions. Whether that's riding club activities, dressage, eventing, hacking, endurance, cross-country or simply enjoying a quality all-round horse, Dinny has a great deal to offer.

We'll keep everyone updated as her education progresses and we learn more about her personality and strengths, but for now we're very much enjoying getting to know this lovely young mare.
