Midnight is a beautifully put-together 15.3hh mare by Jack Hobbs, meaning she should comfortably measure as a hack for showing. She has had just one run in the UK before retiring from racing and is therefore eligible for all Retraining of Racehorses (RoR) showing classes and competitions.

This lovely mare is exceptionally correct and straight-moving, with an eye-catching action, a great shoulder, and the quality and presence to really turn heads wherever she goes. She is beautifully bred, being by Jack Hobbs and out of a mare by Passing Glance, combining athleticism, movement, and trainability in one very attractive package.

Midnight is currently a forward-going ride and will benefit from time, consistency, and continued education to bring out the very best in her. As such, she is not suitable for a novice rider. However, for a capable and competent person willing to invest in her, the sky is truly the limit. She has a good attitude towards her work and is already showing all the attributes needed to excel in a variety of disciplines.

Personally, I would love to see Midnight contesting HOYS qualifiers later in the year. She has the looks, movement, presence, and trainability to be a serious contender in the show ring. Equally, she would make a fantastic all-round competition horse for someone wanting to put their own stamp on a quality young mare.

Midnight is a very special horse and one I am genuinely excited about. She has all the raw materials needed to go on and enjoy a successful second career away from racing.
