Gus (“Gusty”) (Not yet available)

Gus, affectionately known as “Gusty,” is a beautifully put-together 6-year-old gelding standing at approximately 16hh who has recently arrived from Hong Kong alongside two of his travelling companions.

An incredibly attractive horse with plenty of quality, Gusty is a very good mover with a naturally athletic way of going and a lovely overall presence. Since arriving with us in West Wales, he has now been turned away to grass to enjoy a period of downtime before recommencing work next month.

Importantly, Gusty has already begun his retraining following his racing career whilst still in Hong Kong, where he established a solid foundation under saddle. He is currently working nicely in all three paces and has already completed a good amount of hacking and arena work at Beas River, proving straightforward and willing in his work.

Although he is currently unavailable for viewing whilst he settles and enjoys his holiday, we believe he will develop into a very special horse once his ridden work resumes in earnest next month.

A quality gelding with excellent potential for a future beyond racing.
