Majestic Knight (Not yet available)

Well, this is a rather special chap to introduce you all to. ❤️

Please say hello to Majestic Knight, an absolutely magnificent eight-year-old gelding who has recently arrived with us from Hong Kong as part of the HKJC programme.

Standing at a whopping 17.1hh, Magnus is a seriously handsome chap who has enjoyed a fabulous racing career, with significant winnings on the track.

He is beautifully put together, moves like an absolute dream and quite literally floats across the ground. He is also an absolute gentleman to handle, and I am already rather taken with him!

However, Magnus has a little more rehabilitation ahead of him before we can begin exploring what his second career might look like.

In January of this year, Magnus sustained a sesamoid fracture and has also experienced suspensory desmitis. He has since undergone a fantastic rehabilitation process in Hong Kong, successfully passed his export veterinary examination (including flexions) and arrived with us sound and well.

Magnus will now enjoy a further six months of downtime at grass, allowing him to fully decompress, continue his recovery and benefit from the fantastic rehabilitation work already undertaken by the team in Hong Kong.

Things will therefore go a little quiet in terms of updates for Magnus over the winter while he enjoys being a horse, eating grass and generally looking magnificent in a field! 🌱

Once he has completed his downtime, we will carefully reassess him and, veterinary advice permitting, begin introducing ridden work with the hope of eventually finding him a wonderful long-term home where he can enjoy many happy years in his second career.

PLEASE NOTE: Magnus is NOT currently available for rehoming, and we will not be considering viewings or applications for him until next year.

For now, his only job is to rest, recover and enjoy life in the Welsh countryside. Whilst it's going to be a fairly long wait before I get to swing a leg over this chap, I am incredibly excited about him. He really is a breath-taking horse, and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for him.

Welcome to Wales, Magnus. You've already proved what an extraordinary racehorse you are. Now it's time to put your feet up and enjoy a very well-earned holiday. ❤️
