Mellor (SOLD)

Time to start the search for Mr Mellor's next chapter. A beautiful 10yo, 16.1hh gelding who has been a stallion until earlier this year. Prior to that he had one run as a 2yo on the flat.

He has had some chill time to let his hormones settle down, and is now absolutely flourishing in his ridden career as a riding horse. He is beautifully put together and has super paces. He is an absolute gentleman and has so much to give as a ridden horse.

He has no injuries and is a beautiful stamp with good bone and confirmation. I'm really excited about what this chap is going to be capable of under saddle.

He is hacking well, both on his own and in company, has been impeccable in open spaces and hasn't flinched at farm traffic or machinery. He's being ridden by a capable 14yo at the moment and is kind and polite with a small rider on board. He's

been good with the farrier and has been a good boy to clip, catch and load etc.

Mellor has been out to the beach, where he behaved really well, even with a Christmas tree on board. With a winter of clinics and shows, this lovely boy will be ready for the summer season.

He has been out hunting where although it was mostly road work he behaved well at the meet and was happy to tuck in with the field.

He will obviously need an understanding home, where for now, mares can be kept separate to save him being wound up unnecessarily. That said, he has travelled to the beach and out hunting with mares quote happily. He is enjoying his turnout with his gelding friends and is a lovely boy to handle. He's been good to clip, and has had his teeth done this week.

He is a super classy type and will make someone a very smart riding horse.

Based near Aberporth West Wales. Weaves mildly at feed time.
